UN has already included International Genocide Memorial Day in Srebrenica on official calendar

On the official calendar, July 11th is marked as the “International Reflection Day and the 1995 Genocide Memorial at Srebrenica”.
The resolution was adopted by 84 votes, with only 19 states opposed. 68 countries abstained and 22 seats did not vote.
Srebrenica Memorial Centre Director Emir Suljagic has already announced that the Memorial Centre will organise an exhibition at the United Nations. It is expected that as of the 30th anniversary, 2025, the commemoration of the genocide in Srebrenica in the UN will be organised at a much more significant level.
UN member states are invited by resolution to include in their educational programmes teaching on the genocide committed.
