Hoti: Kurti has trapped Kosovo in agreement without recognition, cleared Serbia of this condition

Former Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has reacted after Prime Minister Albin Kurti at a news conference has said that Kosova Sė accepts conditioning for membership in the Council of Europe in exchange for establishing the Association of Serb Major municipalities. Hoti has made a review of Kurt Government's actions and decisions regarding the process [...]
Hoti has made a review of Kurt Government actions and decisions concerning the process of negotiations and Kosovo membership in international organisations.
LDK MP has written that the Kurti government has done great and long-term damage to the country's Euro-Atlantic integration process and has set Kosovo in a non-recognition agreement and that frees Serbia of such an obligation on the road to the EU.
Full response:
The current government at the beginning of the mandate abandoned the dialogue for mutual recognition, launched in the preliminary government with the support of allies.
He established conditions for dialogue, which were not taken into account by either the EU mediator or the allies.
He started the dialogue unconditionally.
He accepted the Brussels/Ohri agreement, which at the centre has no mutual recognition, but has guarantees for self-management for the Serb community and the Serbian Orthodox Church.
In November 2023, he accepted from the EU the draft association status that he did not refuse.
Now it is surprising why sending that draft to the Constitutional Court is being set as a condition for membership in the Council of Europe.
This government has done great and long-term damage to Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic integration, setting us up in an agreement that does not foresee recognition, which frees Serbia from this obligation in its progress towards the EU.
