Kosovo's Statistics Agency has held its closing meeting for the census of Population, Family Economy and Homes in Kosovo, part of which were Republika Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, as well as representatives of the U. NFPA and UNDP.
The KSF has in this case thanked all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo that, with their participation over the weeks, they co-operated closely with the recorders for such a major and important project for Kosovo.
“A special and meritary thanks to the recorders and supervisors for their work as contact persons with citizens, representatives from Kosovo municipalities, the Central Commission of the census, the cyber security processing group, the Kosovo Police, other government and non-government institutions, political parties indiscriminately supporting the Population Register Project, the Government of Kosovo, the Kosovo Assembly and the Office of Presidency. Support also provided international institutions including: Eurostat, U n NEKE, UNFPA, UNDP and many other international organisations in Kosovo, which made valuable contributions by supporting the Population Record project (ReKos2024) as professional, technical and financialally”, the AK report said.
According to the AKS, the census, as one of the biggest and most complex projects of a country in peacetime, despite the challenges and complexity it has experienced, was achieved with great success, which was due to co-operation and co-ordination with other local and international institutions. “The realisation of the Population Record (ReKos2024) is evidence that our institutions can achieve projects at the national and international level”, said at the end of the AK's announcement.
