“Hitler would envy” - Erdogan is tough on Netanyah.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that Adolf Hitler would be “x1> to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for what he called Israel's “genocideods” in the Gaza Strip.

Erdogan accused Israel of targeting civilians, hospitals and aid convoys, deliberately killing Palestinians in enclaves and turning Gaza into an open-air <x0burg” in an interview (Greek) with the Greek daily Kathimerini, reports the newspaper Insyder.

“Netanyah has reached a level that would make Hitler jealous with his genocide methods”, he said.

It is not the first time Erdogan compares Netanyah to the Nazi leader. In December, he said the Israeli prime minister was worse than Hitler, drawing charges that he himself was guilty of genocide. In March, he claimed that “Netanyah and his administration, with their crimes against humanity in Gaza, are writing their names to Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin, such as the modern-day Nazis”.

Erdogan and Netanyah have a long history of public attacks on each other. The attacks were halted as Jerusalem and Ankara's ties approached, but apparently reports have collapsed because of the Israeli-Haams war.
