From Sunday of May 12th, the only currency that can be used for payment in Kosovo is the euro.
The French Embassy has been declared on this issue.
In an answer to Klankosova.tv reportedly respect the independence of the Central Bank of Kosovo, but that implementation of the regulator, which has not been co-ordinated, poses difficulties.
” The implementation of Central Bank regulations, which is not co-ordinated, however, presents difficulties related to the sustainability of legal financial transfers from Serbia, for example in favour of Serbian pensioners or health or educational institutions”, the Embassy's response broadcasts Klankosova. tv
France's embassy says it supports the EU special emissary's proposals in the Kosovo dialogue Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak, on this subject.
In addition, France expects a quick and positive outcome of these negotiations.
European mediator Lajcak organised several meetings on this topic. We fully support his efforts and concrete proposals he has presented. We call for a quick and positive outcome of these negotiations. Finally, a sustainable solution will be found through the establishment of association of Serb majority municipalities”, said in response.
