The weekend has again found the European currency, Euro at very low levels in Albania's currency exchange market.
Referring to the currency market, 1 Euro is exchanged for sale in the value of 100.9 lekes, while in the purchase it has reached the 100.1m limits.
Referring to official data from the Bank of Albania, the Euro exchange rate currently results in a decline of about 9.7 per cent compared to the same period in 2023, the tvclean reports.
The trend of the fall of the Euros began to decline since the end of the first quarter of this year. According to currency exchange agents, this comes mainly as a result of increased currency flows, mainly related to tourist flows.
Also, according to agents, a small impact also has on the Orthodox Easter holiday, which is associated with a growing number of migrants returning to Albania, especially Greece.
The fall of the euro is keeping the other major waves low. The American dollar was converted this weekend to the values of 93-94 lekes, while the British pound 116.3 Money on purchase and 117.3 Money for sale.
Seeing market trends and expected reports of demand and supply, Lek is expected to continue strengthening, while foreign currencies, and especially Euro, will continue to be fragile because of tourism.
