EULEX for operations in the north: Monitoring is our component.

The European Union's Mission to End Law in Kosovo (EULEX) has indicated that this mission is mandated to help empower the institutions of rule of law in Kosovo in order for them to be stable, accounting, and can effectively guarantee everyone's rights without discrimination. [...]
In their statement, EULEX has stressed that monitoring is essential components of their mandate.
For effective exercise of our ability to monitor jump, we need to have physical presence on the scene of activities carried out by Kosovo institutions along the entire chain of justice”, it is said further in their response.
This, according to EULEX, means monitoring on the field as an impartial side to the Kosovo authorities' attitude and actions, to assess their compliance with the principles of rule of law and obligations for human rights, with clear pledges against any form of human rights violations and discrimination.
While conducting monitoring activities, E ULEX has suggested that they respect overall the independence of judicial authorities and the principle of non-intervention, and if through these monitoring activities, serious shortcomings are identified, “Mission addresses them with relevant authorities”.
