Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, today while talking about the new social assistance scheme, has said that it is necessary to talk about the situation with jobs in Kosovo, since statistics speak for themselves.
Kurti claims that in the last four years, 87 thousand new jobs have been created in Kosovo, or 26% more than they have been in 2019.
In addition, the executive leader has said he has managed to secure Kosovo's 1 billion-euro budget more over three years of governance, which, according to Kurti, is more than achieved for the past 10 years.
When we received the government mandate, we promised work and justice. Work meaning the country's economic development and justice, which means fair and equal treatment before the law. To the first, speeches are not necessary! Statistics of rising jobs, reducing unemployment rates, increasing employment of women and young people, economic growth, increasing business circulation, increasing budget revenues clearly reflect our Government's success in this regard”, Kurti said in his address.
“From 331,742 jobs at the end of 2019, at the end of 2023, so for a four-year period, we have 419,126 jobs or over 87 thousand jobs or over 26 percent. Furthermore, from an economic growth of 1 billion euros for three years during the mandates before our government, we went to an economic growth of 1 billion euros annually with our Government. From an increase in budget revenues of 1 billion euros for more than 10 years before us, we went to a budget revenues meeting for 1 billion euros more for three years of governance”, it has added further.
According to him, such a situation of “confirms international financial institutions in their reports, such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and recently the international credit rating agency's report, Fitch Ratings.
But our job of economic development in the country, which was translated into more jobs for citizens of the Republic and more budget revenues for Kosovo, we didn't stop it here”, Kurti noted.
