Common Organization of FSHF with Serbia, Minister Ceku reacts sharply: They never asked us.

Last week, the Albanian Football Federation officially unveiled the candidacy for organising the Euro 2027 Football Championship for U21 age groups. But this candidacy was made by joining forces with Serbia. News that sparked harsh reactions in Kosovo. The minister's ministry for [...] has made a similar harsh response.
The Ministry of Culture, Rimi and Sports Minister Hayrlla Ceku has made a similar reaction. Speaking to Kosovo priss about this topic, Ceku has found there has been no communication of Albania with Kosovo on this application, until he has cited the fact that Albania is seen as an undisputed partner when Kosovo gained the right to organise the Mediterranean Games.
“How many times Kosovo is trying to organise an international event, our first address is Albania, and we have shown this in the Mediterranean Games and not only yesterday to be very open now, for the Mediterranean Games we needed a partner state that had access to the sea and technically there were other options, but we never thought of them, for us Albania has been a natural partner, so we have gone alone and insisted that Albania be the partner of Kosovo for organising the 2030 Mediterranean Games. At least the same communication has not occurred in the case of U21's application to football in 2027 on the part of Albania”, Ceku stressed.
We just realized the news when formal candidacy was made public and there was a kind of agreement for me a little weird on the part of Albania, a kind of consultancy without prior consultation that we don't meet the conditions. If we talk about 2027 we're going to have some high class stadiums ready for play, and that's what I'm saying, and that's what I'm saying with the dynamics that are going on right now, it's based analysis and it's not an electoral promise. The dynamics on the field are developing and the completion deadlines tell us that within two years we'll have some high-class stadiums that are ready and I believe that by this, we would have met the minimum condition needed to be co-organizing of these” games, the first MKRS added.
On the other hand, Ceku stressed that disappointment was even greater where it became known that Serbia is not ready with the infrastructure required and that for this organisation, and that there just started investments in several stadiums, so seeing this situation, according to Ceku, Albania has had to be more likely to be in this case towards Kosovo.
There was a lot of reaction, of course, I hope they didn't report even very well between Kosovo and Albania in many areas, including in sports, but a little more correction would be better in this case. At least communication existed over time, we were informed, we had our version clearly broadcast on the other side. What happened after that news was the information that even Serbia is not actually ready with football infrastructure for this 2027 organisation, and those at the moment are investing in some stadiums to get ready. Therefore, the reason that Kosovo is not ready is because it turns out Serbia is not ready for that kind of organisation”, Ceku said at the end.
Differently, Albania's candidacy along with Serbia is under review, and that decision is expected to be made by U EFA in the coming weeks.
