Britain unconditionally supports Kosovo's KiE membership

In a response to TIME, Chief of the Office for Communications Richard Le Vay has said he encourages Kosovo on the road to membership in this European Union organisation.

The United Kingdom supports Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe and encourages it to do everything it can to ensure the necessary support for a successful vote on the Committee of Ministers”, he has said.

In a response to TIME, this embassy has said that the QUINT and others have consistently stressed that they expect Kosovo to take tangible steps to establish the Association of Serb-run municipalities to achieve the two-thirds required majority in the Committee of Ministers that application for membership is successful.
