Bosch shows why internationals are asking more from Kosovo than from Serbia

Former Netherlands Ambassador to Kosovo Robert Bosch has indicated why most internationals demand more from Kosovo than from Serbia.

He has declared that this happens in the fact that Serbia is considered a more important country than Kosovo.

In a pronouncing for “Calxo.com”, the former Dutch diplomat has said such a thing is indicated by the Chinese president's visit to Serbia

“That happens all the time, as Serbia is considered to be more important than Kosovo. Xi's visit increased this [value] even though it should be different. Drawing close to China news should have been seen as negative development for Serbia's possible EU membership”, Bosch said.

He has also talked about sending Association to the Constitutional Court.

Because of the real policy, he said, Kosovo must sometimes do things that do not seem reasonable.

“As far as the AKS is concerned, I have been involved all the time the draft is sent to the Constitutional Court, but only to consider whether it is in accordance with the Constitution, which requires time. But, informally, they must receive confirmation of the support of large countries that ask the government to do so -- not publicly, but behind the scenes. Kosovo is the demanding side and sometimes it has to do things that seem unreasonable, but this is real politics.”, expression Bosch.
