Albanian Interior Minister Taulant Balla has reacted to the serious event taking place in Shkodra, where a 39-year-old man along with her three minor children are suspected of being killed on the Buna River, following the violence exercised by the family head.
Through a post on the social network, Facebook, Balla has expressed strong doubts that suicide has been driven by domestic violence and psychological pressure.
The heavy look at Shkodra, where a mother and her three children are suspected to have just broken into the Buna River, has shocked us all. The specialised RENEA unit and the National Public Security Force are continuing the search across the Buna River. State police have banned their spouse and have strong doubts that domestic violence, psychological pressure has pushed the victim towards this tragic act”, he wrote.
Balla appealed that all victims of violence should denounce her, adding that violence against women is no longer a private issue, but that it should become public.
