Arben Gashi: There is coalition between PDK and LVV

The chief of the Democratic League of Kosovo Parliamentary Group, Arben Gashi, said the only solution to the election is Prime Minister Albin Kurti's resignation. According to him, it is normal for opposition parties to disagree with the way they go to the polls. Also, he stressed that there is an approach between the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

After the Assembly's chairmanship meeting, Gashi said Prime Minister Albin Kurti should offer solutions by resignation.

“As far as elections are concerned, the solution is the prime minister's resignation. Kosovo's prime minister, if he wants to have solutions and elections at the same time, should offer the solution. His solution should be to resign and move the country into elections. And if you plan on the country going to elections, then the time to seize the election in July, the first week of July, is towards the last few moments. Because you know the moment the prime minister's position remains vacant then within 45 days, but no sooner than 30 days the elections should be organised. So it's a constitutional legal deadline and that's the way of holding elections. If that does not happen, the prime minister to provoke elections again in the autumn, I still have to resign, but I must resign as far as August 15th”, he said.

After the PDK's call to reach a reconciliation within these two days for distribution of the Assembly, Gashi reiterated that the prime minister's resignation is the only solution.

What is this deadline, ultimatum or what? It is not a matter of deadlines or ultimatums, the only solution is the prime minister's resignation. The prime minister has brought the country into a blockade situation, the prime minister has brought the country into situations of galopon corruption, the prime minister has brought the country into a situation where Kosovo is under international sanctions. Prime Minister Albin Kurti has brought the country into a catastrophic government and it must take responsibility and resign”, he added.

According to him, it's normal that opposition parties have the same approach.

According to him, there is a coalition or an approach between the PDK and LVV, which is in their target. Until as the LDK said their view is to assume political responsibility for four-year failures in Kosovo.

“Why should opposition parties be reconciled when opposition parties have different programmes, different leaderships, different approaches even with power among themselves. It's normal that opposition parties have the same approach. There is a coalition or an approach between the PDK and LVV that is at their target, in their work goal, and normally we as LDK have our own perspective and our view is to assume political responsibility for four-year failures in Kosovo. And the political responsibility for Kosovo's four-year failure has only one name, and that name is Albin Kurti”, he concluded.
