Now 45-year-old, bin Omran has been found alive only 200m from the house he grew up in.
Officials have confirmed that they have arrested a 61-year-old as suspected of his imprisonment.
His family feared that he was among the 200 thousand killed or 20,000 kidnapped.
Omran has said that he had seen family members from the basement where he was standing several times, but he was unable to call because of the “imagination his neighbor had made to him.
Her mother died in 2013.
