About 400kg of tobacco inside, Serbian license car seized by Kosovo police

Kosovo police through a media report have indicated that they managed yesterday afternoon to catch a significant amount of tobacco in a Serbian license vehicle.

A total of caught tobacco, says the communique, amounts to 390 kg. Regarding the above case, the caretaker prosecutor has been announced, who has ordered that the case be initiated smuggling with goods, while confiscated goods has been sent to customs for further procedures.

Kosovo police, under the war for prevention and combating smuggling, dated 02.05.2024 around 17:20 in Gjilan, have stopped a Serbian license vehicle for control. The identification and ban of this vehicle comes after co-operation between police officials of the Directorate for Trafficking in Narcotics and Border Police.

During the vehicle's search, it has been found to have loaded, processed tobacco packaged, classified according to brand-of-smoking labels: , marlboro” 480 packages x 0.5kg, total 240kg and,Dunhill 300 packages x 0.5kg of 150kg. A total of 390 kilos of tobacco.

Regarding the above case, the presiding prosecutor has been announced, who has ordered that the case be initiated smuggling with goods, while confiscated goods has been sent to customs for further procedures.
