12 years in prison and 10,000 euros in fines on 3 Kline officials charged with corruption

Indictee Lawrence Marleku, for his first work “Using official position” in co-ordination, was sentenced to 3 years in prison and a thousand and 500 euros in fines. For the second point of the indictment, where he was also charged for “Use of the official task”, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison and a thousand and 500 euros in fines. Similarly, for the next point of the indictment, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison and a thousand and 500-euro fine for “Using official office”.
To Marlek, the court pronounced its unique sentence of 5 years in prison and 4 thousand and 500 euros in fines.
In this sentence, the same will account for the time spent in house custody and house arrest from July 15th 2021 to September 14, 2021.
Charged Ali Gashi for criminal work “Using official office” in co-ordination was sentenced to 3 years in prison and a thousand and 500-euro fine. Even for the next point of the indictment in which he was charged for “Using official office”, Gashi was sentenced to 3 years in prison and a thousand and 500 euros in fines.
To indictees Ali Gashi, the court pronounced a unique sentence of 4 years in prison and 3 thousand euros in fines.
In the prison sentence, accused Gashi will be counted as the time spent in custody and house arrest from July 15th 2021 to September 14, 2021.
However, accused Nazif Gashi for his ongoing criminal conduct “Using official office” was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 2 thousand euros in fines.
Even the accused Gashi, in the prison sentence, will be counted as having spent time in custody and house arrest.
In addition, the accused were pronounced a supplemental sentence, a ban on the exercise of office in public administration during the duration of three years.
Otherwise, on October 3rd, 2022, former director of Urbanism and Environmental Protection Lawrence Marlechou, Construction and Banim Sector leader Ali Gashi and the construction inspector of the Cline municipality, Nazif Gashi, were acquitted of charges of corruption.
According to the indictment, issued on July 18th, 2022 by the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pec, Lawrence Marekcu and Ali Gashi were charged with issuing construction permits contrary to the Urban Construction and Regulatory Plan. Merlac is also charged that contrary to the Railway Law, he allows the investor to build objects contrary to the previous distance and then changed his initial decision by turning the distance from the railway line. On the other hand, Nazif Gashi is accused of providing the quality of the construction inspector, enabling the construction of facilities in conflict with construction conditions and permits.
