During his testimony, witness Nuredin Abazi said Latife and Collolin were killed by Serb forces, as their troops were found in an area where there were constantly patrols from them.
The witness said that where these two women were found, it has been a dangerous place to get access to the KLA, reports the “Justice Trust”.
No. I understand to the measure of war that they were found at a crossroads, at a crossroads which the police and the army of Serbia constantly patrolled, with the highway ... they killed Serbian forces because it was impossible to join us as an army. It was a very dangerous place. When their troops were found, that after the war I have heard, it has been extremely dangerous to come to us that that country has always been with Serbia's autoblin of tanks”, the witness said.
Ahaz said he heard the bodies of these women were found on the main Suhareka-Prizren road.
As far as I know they're found near Leshan, the main road that goes for Suharek-Prizren. The road to the village of Leshan is a crossroads, a certain island. There I heard they were found, I didn't even see the”, the witness said.
Speaking of the time when he had talked with these women, Ahaz said that he did not have the authority to stop them.
Even Sadik Halitha said that he did not know these women before.
“Sadik Halitijaha didn't even recognize them. Where he came to meet Sadik Halitijaha, when Sadiku came from Switzerland and he didn't even know 10% of the population. Fifteen years in Switzerland has been nowhere to come”, he said.
The witness said these suspicious women had brought Moose Cerkini as they were seen entering and leaving the Serbian police station.
That they have the legitimacy, or the Cerkine Mue. They were thought to have collaborated with the Serbian police, seen them come in and out of the police station, and so on”, he said.
Asked why this move was suspicious, witness Abazi said they were in a state of war with police station and with the Serbian Army.
“Se was a state of war, war we had with the police station, with Serbia's army. Cooperation with them has been illegal, irregular, immoral. War situation”, he said.
From a conversation with the two women, the witness said he understood that their actions at the police station were about lower moral issues.
We talked to them about what was claimed, but during the talks, it was found there is nothing suspicious. They had just taken those actions on the lower issues that I told the prosecutor, he said.
The Witness added that he did not report to Sadik Halitjaha about this conversation with these two women.
“She needs to report it. There's no need... We've always never had contact with the commander that he's been busy with other tasks. It has often been unnecessary. So some things I couldn't report to”, Nuredin Abazi said.
Ahaz added that he told Agim Zyba and Naim Cadoll that women should be released.
I've been talking to Agim and Naim, Naim Cadolin, (I told you) women should be released that there is nothing contrary to it, there's nothing I've discussed during my conversation with them. It's all about low issues that aren't, it's not about discus, it's about morality that's not worth mentioning. They were on moral issues”, the witness said, adding that I don't know if they have done this and that they have accompanied women elsewhere.
Witness Abazi says Thaci has been political leader in the KLA, but has never met him
Nuredin Abazi, who is witnessing in The Hague in the case of former KLA leaders, has said Hashim Thaci has been political leader in the KLA.
“Yes, they were political staff. KLA political leader”, Abazi said, reports “The Justice Vow”.
But, he said that with Thaci and the other members of Staff, he has never met during the war.
Not ever. I don't think they even know me. It's only on TV after the war, said the witness.
While in operation in Budakova, the witness denied that he has addressed detention cases there.
We never have after the ban issues. We have been following issues of legitimacy, mainly of identification of persons who have entered the war zone, and otherwise cure”, he said.
The task was followed by a guard who defined the area. They have the task of identifying who is entering the area and who is coming out, not me”, Abazi said.
Asked that in case any soldier violated who questioned him, the witness said he did it, correcting lawyer Luka Misethic as a conversation.
Talk to him, me. The target was the mistake of the one who violated something that he didn't have to do, an inhuman, not appropriate”, he said.
The Witness Ahaz said that after the conversation, he reported to the commander, also relating the arrangements they made.
“Report to Commander. Síkka pasper , it's been a small violation, we've given him an observation or an overtime guard and it's over and over and over what we have to do to give him, he said.
Nuredin Abazi: There's never been a Military Court in the KLA.
In Kosovo Specialised Chambers ( The DPS) in The Hague is continuing to witness Nuredin Abazi, who declared there was no Military Court during wartime when he served as judicial adviser in the Posttric Operative Zone.
That statement, the witness did it on Tuesday in the trial of Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, reports “Justice bet”.
There's never been a Military Court, nor has any Military Court ever been created, as far as I know. The Military Court is not behind the need in Kosovo after the establishment of a Military Court, specific conditions that we have then lacked and were unable to establish such a court after the offensives have not left us behind. We have no idea about it except to protect ourselves and participate in shares”, Abazi said.
The same one added that the Military Court today is not after 25 years of peace.
We're not gonna be able to establish now the Military Court and leave it at war terms. Still, as far as I know I've never had the Military Court, nor is there after the Military Court”, the witness said.
Prior to that, Thaci's defender, lawyer Luka Misethic, introduced several fragments from the book of Ilaz Caldol, titled “The Eye of Eagle”, in which a initiative for the creation of a Military Court was mentioned.
<x) One of the soldiers at the guard informed me that he was looking for a guard from the General Staff. I asked him: Who was he? Baca Kola we called Sokol Dobrun from Gjakova”, Misethic said, while reading this passage.
According to Misethic, this book also mentioned Nuredin Abazi, who is now a witness, who has been able to serve at the Military Court because in wartime he was a graduate lawyer.
“Kola informed me of the reason for coming to the Postrick Operative Zone, the meeting with me respectively, and that she was assigned to extend the branches of this court to all military areas. At first, they would act as judicial services, while where there were conditions both as courts and that they would be connected in the center with the General Staff. Kola made me know that I was assigned to host the Military Court at the Posteric Operative Zone, and the ordinance would come late through the courier”, read Misethic.
According to the lawyer, it also discussed soldiers who could serve at the Military Court.
“Baca Cole was considering me because of the previous recognition of my jury profession. We also talked to other soldiers who could serve at the Military Court and mentioned the jurists' names like Nuredin Abazi, the name Gashi and others with whom the legal service would initially be formed within the area, while later the military court itself,”, Misetic said, reading fragments from this book.
In this hearing, there was a discussion between prosecutor James Pace, the court and defence attorneys regarding the testimony of this witness and the truthfulness of statements he had given to the authorities of justice over the years.
Prosecutor Pace proposed that the witness's statement given under the 154 rule be taken into account. However, the court remains to make a decision.
