Although he had failed to vote in the Kosovo Convention on the Civil Code bill, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has pledged that he would personally commit to building a parliamentary majority in order to support this initiative.

Kurti made this pledge in a speech given in Berlin, under a German Social Democrat Party organisation.

However, Vetevendosje Movement MP Eman Nundman claims that the Civil Code will not be in the vote in this mandate.

He's in a proposal for The KP reiterated the opposing stance, stressing that it would never vote on such a law.

According to him, there are more MPs against this law than two years ago.

<x) Not Armendi Muja but no other human can convince not only me but either of the MPs to change the think”, he said.

Furthermore, he declared that the Civil Code would not be on this mandate again.

There's still a lot more MPs voting against it than there were two years ago. In this mandate, the Civil Code no longer comes to the assembly of no one, he said.

The Kosovo Assembly has tried to pass the Civil Code Bill in March 2022, but 16 Parliament deputies did not participate at all in the vote, 28 votes against, 28 for and four abstentions.

Much of Vetevendosje's deputies have rejected the Civil Code in the share of same-gender marriage.
