Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has claimed that Friday, ahead of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly's decision on Kosovo membership, some “tried to complete everything”, but that this was prevented thanks to the intervention of the two states.
These claims, according to Serbian media, have been made on today's Zemun:
The “planned yesterday, prior to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe's decision to complete everything, thanks to the intervention of two states, this did not happen”.
Vuciq was quoted as adding that he will travel to Paris tomorrow, claiming that important meetings await him.
“We are facing difficult days in terms of decisions concerning Pristina's application for membership in the KiE, the UN, great pressure from the region, Europe, the world, but the country must continue to develop and move on.” He was quoted as saying.
It is noteworthy that Kosovo has received a positive recommendation for membership in the KiE. The session in which this issue is expected to be decided is expected to be held in mid-April.
