UNMIK chief Caroline Ziadeh has stayed in Serbia for two days.
She in Belgrade has met with Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and the chief of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Petar Petkovic.
As the UNMIK Office announces, Ziadeh has spoken to them on several topics, including the UN Secretary General's upcoming report before the next planned Security Council session UNMIK later in April.
“Ziadeh stressed the importance of continuing confident efforts to find compromise solutions within the framework of the EU's facilitated dialogue and Agreement on the road to normalisation of relations. These included efforts being undertaken to resolve currency issues in Kosovo's majority Serb areas, prospects for new local elections in northern Kosovo municipalities, and necessary steps towards establishing the Association/United Serb Majorities Commission. Discussions also covered a range of issues for strengthening regional peace and stability”, the report said.
