The Chinese company ByteDance, which owns TikTok, has said he doesn't intend to sell the famous app, because the U.S. Senate passed a law under which TickTok should be sold, or banned in America.

“ByteDance has no plans to sell TikTok”, the company said in its official account in Toutiao, a social network it also owns.

Earlier this week, TikTok said he would complain in court against the “unconstitutional”.

The announcement by ByteDance comes in response to an article in the media that it was considering the possible sale of TikTok to the US.

“Reports to foreign media for the sale of TickTok from ByteDance are false”, the company said.

US President Joe Biden signed the law Wednesday that would ban TikTok in the United States if its owner did not sell it in a year.

Lawmakers from both parties in the US, as well as legal and intelligence officials, have expressed concerns that Chinese authorities may force ByteDance to hand over the data of more than 170 million Americans using TikTok.

Their concerns stem from a series of Chinese national security laws that force organisations to help the country collect data. ByteDance you can submit to this Chinese law.

TickTok has dismissed claims that it could be used as a Chinese government tool.

This company has said it has never shared with Chinese authorities the data of American users and that it will not do so even if asked.
