The chief of the EU Office in Kosovo, Thomas Szunyog, has spoken at the UN Security Forum held in Budapest, Hungary. He has spoken of Kosovo's road to the EU.

He said the European path of Kosovo and Serbia runs through EU-launched dialogue and normalisation of relations.

The “I reiterated that Kosovo's future is certainly in our Union and added that we are willing to continue to help Kosovo get closer to the EU and take advantage of the possibilities that the EU enlargement process offers”, it has written on the NCX platform.

According to him, since enlargement is merit-based, the pace of reforms must be accelerated.

Kosovo must make tangible and irreversible progress, starting with the bases -- rule of law, human rights, economy and the functioning of democratic institutions respectively. The EU expects Kosovo and Serbia to implement the Agreement on the Path of Normalisation and its Implementation Annex without any delay or precondition”, chief of the EU Office in Kosovo, Thomas Szunyog.
