Svecla said Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has used the territory of northern Kosovo to cause tensions, through which to blackmail Kosovo and the international community.
“Situate in the four northern Kosovo municipalities is currently calm, but fragile. Thin because of long-term tensions, but also because of a Belgrade destructive approach to Kosovo has confronted this area, but it also confronted our Serb national citizens. Belgrade, specifically Vuciq and its government, depending on their internal policies, have used Kosovo Serbs, used this territory to cause tensions not only for the Republic of Kosovo but also for tensions in the region and beyond, wanting to blackmail Kosovo, first, but also the international community”, Svecla said in an interview for “24x3>.
Svechla also spoke on the issue of removing the Serbian dinar from use in the country. Such decisions, he said, are normal for a country that aspires to EU, NATO membership
We are an independent and sovereign state, and we must also be a normal, independent and sovereign state. We aspire nothing more than to be a democratic country, where order and law rules. And whether the decision on the dinar or earlier decisions on license plates, on electricity, are the most normal decisions of a country aspiring to be part of the EU and NATO”, Svechla said,
He said they have taken the trust of citizens to make such decisions. This, as he said, is also “obligations to the past, the present, and the future of our country, if we want Kosovo to move forward, become part of the democratic world”.
