SUNKU protest on May 1st: Kurti Government's Bad Access to Education Workers and Others

SBASKU has criticised the Government for “the very bad treatment of Kurti Government towards education workers and others”. “honoured Prime Minister Kurti, Minister Murati and you Minister Nagavci a few years ago when we went to union international meetings and talked with colleagues from several countries in the region, we took pride in seeing that we stayed well with the salaries [...]

“honoured Prime Minister Kurti, Minister Murati and minister Nagavci a few years ago when we went to international union meetings and talked with colleagues from several countries in the region, we took pride in seeing that we stayed well with the salaries, but also with the benefits brought by Kosovo's Kolektive Education Agreement. We were also proud of meetings and sincere dialogue with central and local institutions. But in your rule things changed and you honored Prime Minister, but Minister Murati and Minister Nagavci also have bad access to education workers and their legitimate demands. ”

The union has said the Law on Salaries failed to meet their “reasonable expectations” and has been critical of the cabinet headed by Prime Minister Kurti.

You've done quite differently. You hired the Law for wages that failed to fulfill our reasonable expectations. You moved ironically the value of the salary cofficiency. You didn't make the Law on Health Insurance. You made changes and complements in the Law on Retirement Plans and, as it were, denied the right earned by Article 8, paragraph 6 that the 1990s accepted reasonably as contributing years. You to shut down trade unions violate the union's Law on Union Organisation and cancel all membership by forcing them to register on the platform of Kosovo, which has not occurred in a world country. You didn't do anything about improving working conditions that would have a big impact on the constant rise of quality. You paralyzed the work of the Social Economic Council. You don't want to sign the Kolektive Agreement now that guarantees the rights of workers in the public and private sector. ”

In response to this approach, the SBASK has said education workers and others will protest on 1 May.

“In response to this poor approach to education workers and others, there will be protests on May 1st, so the Government has appealed to you to change the bad approach towards education workers and other employees in the public and private sector and thus prevent other union actions. ”
