Shaes in the Assembly expected to cost MPs up to 344 euros

344 euros are expected to cost MPs insults, insults and inciting violence at the Assembly hearings. It thus envisions the code of conduct that has been discussed in the Commission for Legislation, Mandate, Immune, the Assembly Order and the supervision of the Anti-Corruption Agency, reports Online Economics.

Sanction measures as written remarks are also envisioned, and if there are serious repeated violations pronounced with public announcements on the House website and statements of violations at the next session.

There can also be suspensions of up to 3 sessions, depending on the level of wrongdoing, suspension from participation in committee meetings, and the last one is sanctioning up to 20 percent of the basic salary.

Vetevendosje Movement MP Dimal Basha has proposed that MPs with bad behaviour be removed three salaries.

With Article 26 paragraph c, I think the GP is being condemned, the citizen is being punished but not the MP. I don't think it makes sense to be punished for the MP's irresponsible behavior. I propose that punishment not be 20 percent, but be up to 3 salaries”, he said.

Vetevendosje's other MP, Adnan Rrustemi, has said sanctioning is done in order to be seen as pressure.

While Democratic League of Kosovo deputy Driton Selmanaj has said there must be issues that can be implemented.

I have my dilemmas if someone sends this to constitutionally. Is it constitutional or not? Because the MP's mandate is free to answer only to the citizen. This ethical code means a lot to people's moral behavior, it's beautiful sensitive”, he said.

AAK MP Besnik Tahiri has said that following the adoption of the Parliament's rule of work, the adoption of the code of conduct for MPs of the Republic of Kosovo, there is no doubt an act that will help not only the functioning of the Republic of Kosovo's Assembly but, according to him, create obligations, sanctions and establish a new body that has tremendous importance.

This meeting of the Commission for Legislation has special significance because it has gathered to adopt a document, respectively, a code of bringing MPs that has not existed so far, as Chairman Rrustemi said. Following the adoption of the Parliament's rule of work, the adoption of the code of conduct for deputies of the Republic of Kosovo is certainly an act that will help not only the functioning of the Republic of Kosovo's Assembly but will create obligations, sanctions and establish a new body that has tremendous importance. The code of conduct for the deputies of the Republic of Kosovo is short, but in essence it is a tool of work, with very precisely defined obligations, scope of purpose, but also the foundation of a new body. The code defines the rules and ethical standards of deputies of the Republic of Kosovo. What I can say all and I appreciate that the principles we've built and in this code are principles that stem from even the most democratic institutions, including the American Congress that we've been visiting”, Tahiri said.

The review of Draft-Codi's conduct of deputies of the Republic of Kosovo has been approved.
