Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Arberie Nagavci has asked the SBASAK to be cautious in their statements to protest on 1 May, while for their demands it says they have addressed it, the Online Economy reports.
From the Education Union have warned protests on 1 May, while accusing the government cabinet of “destructive approach to unions”.
The first of education points out that it is always close to teachers and that the goal is to improve the quality of education, while it says it is unaware that any request on a particular subject has been addressed.
Any addressed request has been reviewed, as far as I'm concerned, we don't have any official request with any specific topic we will talk to. As a minister every day I'm close to teachers and schools, I'm extremely interested in working with all of us to improve the quality of education. There's a lot of work to do and a lot of will, so the SBASK chairman and the rest I invited to be cautious in their statements... We have repeatedly met with both me and the deputy minister, meetings should not be made just to hold meetings, but to have specific topics that we talk about and work together”, Nagavci says.
