Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, has said that Kosovo should make tangible “steps for the Association of Serb majority municipalities, if it wants to join the Council of Europe.
Vulnerable steps must be taken because the Council of Europe devotes particular importance to the issue of minority rights. The best way to show that Kosovo is committed to implementing it is to start implementing Association. So take a tangible step, because even the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has said it should be taken after accession”, Rohde said at KTV.
Rohde has said that the more “is done before the Committee of Ministers meeting, the greater the possibility of a successful” vote.
“Believe, Germany is extremely interested in a successful vote and a successful membership in the Council of Europe”, Rohde has said.
