Polish Army Chief of General Staff General Wieslaw Kukula said that during the next two to three years, his country will reform and strengthen its army so that it will be ready for a 24-x0 bloody and long battle” and that active reserveers would be trained and equipped as professional soldiers.
“Today we are convinced that a possible war would be long and bloody and that most professional soldiers would not last until the end. They'll be in charge of the reserve and end the war. We need to change our thinking so that the reserve can enter the armed forces in number, equip themselves as professional soldiers and train in the same 48x1>, General Kukula told Polish Public Radio.
