Opposition issues hall during handling international agreements

The Democratic League of Kosovo has called on political parties to release the hall where the plenary hearing is being held. That is after the failure to hold parliamentary debate on the US State Department report. LDK MP Driton Selmanaj said the ruling party does not have the votes for ratification of international agreements.

Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjufca said international agreements cannot be addressed, since 80 deputies are needed to be present and vote.

Similarly, MP Driton Selmanaj also called on other opposition parties to release the Kosovo Assembly Hall.

I am informing you that we, like the LDK, are also calling on opposition political parties to see the approach of this majority and vote for an important document, such as DASA, seeing as well that not even 30 MPs have to cross international agreements, which, in fact, the minister (Hekuran Murati), called us guilty, which is not true. You're forgetting that today is the 304th day that we have sanctions and, as such, loses its importance even to international agreements, we don't want to continue to be part of this demographic of parliamentary and parliamentary life here, so from now on we don't stay in the hall. I also call on other opposition parties to leave the hall and try to reflect and return to the normality of political and institutional life in Kosovo”, Selmanaj said.

Vetevendosje Movement parliamentary group leader Mimoza Kusari Lila said the opposition is blocking 300m euros from international agreements.

I regret to say that at the moment deputy Driton Selmanaj from the LDK warned the deputies of this parliamentary group from the hall, only three deputies from 16 were in the hall. Please be open and accept before the citizens of Kosovo and your voters that you do not carry out this task because it is known that international agreements will require 2/3 of Kosovo Assembly deputies. Therefore, leaving the MP's responsibility for voting international agreements to unblock 300m euros now blocked six months in the Kosovo Assembly should indeed be a burden of responsibility”, she said.
