US Assistant Secretary of State James O'Brien has asked Prime Minister Albin Kurti for urgent progress in establishing the Association of Serb-run municipalities. O'Brien claims that implementing agreements reached through EU mediation is necessary to move ahead.
O'Brien stresses that the US supports Kosovo's path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
“The US supports Kosovo's path towards Euro-Atlantic integration. To move forward, implementation of EU-mediated agreements, including urgent progress in the Association of Serb majority municipalities, is needed. Today I have discussed the positive steps needed with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti”, wrote O'Brien.
Kurt and O'Brien have held the meeting today during their stay in Germany.
