IKD Executive Director Ehat Miftaraj has said it is a fact that there is political corruption in Kosovo.
Through a Facebook post, he has said that the Kurti government has built customer governments that promote the culture of impunity when its clientele is involved in corruption.
Similarly, Miftaraj has said the prosecutorial system has failed to investigate and prosecute high corruption.
He has added that Kosovo needs independent and integrity-led prosecutorial system and government that is guided by principles of rule of law and good governance
His full post:
It is also an incompatible fact that the Kurti government has built customer governments that promote the culture of impunity when its clientele is involved in corruption. This is now evidenced by international loan and civil society reports in Kosovo, which have not yet been subjected to attractions with positions and privileges on the part of LVV.
That we have the prosecutorial system, with special emphasis Special Prosecutor failed to investigate and prosecute high-level corruption, it's also an unconventional fact.
Kosovo needs an independent and integrity-instinent prosecutorial system and a government that is driven by principles of rule of law and good governance to believe this country will become.
Until then, the state will be friendly and good only to the share of those who are close and serve with the ruling party.
