Menduh Thaci: I'm sure Kurti's position will change, in the runoff will support Pendarovski

Albanian Democratic Party of Northern Macedonia Chairman Menduh Thaci said there is information that Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who supports the V coalition. LEN in the presidential election there, now in the runoff, will support current president Stevo Pendarovski.

“I am fully sure that even his position will now be changed in relation to Northern Macedonia. My information says the current president, Stevo Pendarovski, has promised support in the second round. Second, I am absolutely sure that Kurti will support the institutional dedication of Albanians to rule with Macedonians with changing the Constitution that any other action would be out of the political logic and outside the national definition of Albanians. So it is no longer reasonable to polymit with it”, he told Euronews Albania.

He said Kurti has politically failed “” in northern Macedonia and says he wants “that closes the” controversy.

In the last presidential election, Menduh Thaci's DPA joined the coalition with the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), the European Democratic Party (PDE) and the People's Movement (LP), which constituted the “European Front”. This coalition ran with Bujar Osman for president.

Meanwhile, Kurti with Vetevendosje Movement was engaged in support of the V coalition. LEN who ran for president of Arben Taravari.
