French President Emmanuel Macron will host his Serbian counterpart, Allnexandar Vuciq, at the Elisee Palace on Monday evening to discuss Serbia's European integration and relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the French Presidency announced.
As reports French news agency AFP, Serbia's president will be expected at the French presidential palace around 8:00, where there will be a joint statement for journalists, after which there will be a dinner for the two heads of state.
In this case, Macro will reaffirm the commitment and full support for Serbia's “European integration and that “normalisation of relations with Kosovo is an integral part of the EU membership process”, the announcement said.
As the AFP writes, relations between Kosovo and Serbia have been irritated since the ban on the Serbian dinar currency in Kosovo at the beginning of the year.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has announced yesterday that he will have important talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on April 8th in Paris. He said it would be a strategic “conversation with Macrono and one of the most important so far”, and that there have been 19 conversations with him so far.
