A person has lost his life and another 10 have been injured after a cable car crashed into a broken pole in southern Turkey, more precisely in the Konyaaltı neighbourhood of Antalya.
According to the Turkish disaster management and emergency management agency, 128 passengers were saved from 16 cable lifts, but over 40 are still blocked.
Seven helicopters and more than 500 rescuers, including expert climbers, remained on the scene Saturday, the Turkish Interior Ministry said in a post in social media.
According to information on her page, the lift has 36 cabins with a capacity of six each.
It takes an average of nine minutes to climb up to the Panoramic view of Antalya.
