For last week's technical summit between Kosovo and Serbia, Lajcak said he helped narrow the gap between the parties over “the dinar issue”.

Lajcak has also announced another meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislim and Serbian chief negotiator Petar Petkovic. He said he expects concrete proposals from the parties that move the issue forward.

“From Bosnia I returned to Brussels for continuing Kosovo and Serbia's efforts to find a middle in relation to the so-called “dinar issues”. We discussed a possible temporary solution for citizens affected by the Kosovo Central Bank's decision on willing operating, and I believe we managed to narrow the gap. At the same time, some differences remain and for that reason I will again expect the two chief negotiators in Brussels and expect our talks to be based on very concrete ideas, which would enable us to move forward in the interest of the people”, Lajcak wrote.

He also cited his participation in the first edition of the conference “Balkan Ministers” in Slovenia, which was organised by the institute of former Slovenian president Borut Pahor, who targets Lajcak's position after his mandate ends in August.
