As Kurti tries to oust Ali Ahmeti from power, DUI MP faces Serbian representatives for Kosovo

In the elections in Northern Macedonia (both presidential and parliamentary), Prime Minister Albin Kurti is campaigning to oust Ali Ahmeti from power there, but despite Kurti's effort, party officials leading Ahmeti, the Democratic Union for Integration, are lobbiing for Kosovo, even facing Serbia's representatives in [...]
Kosovo recently passed the second phase for membership in the Council of Europe successfully, as the Parliamentary Assembly of this organisation voted in favour of the Kosovo rapporteur's report in KiE, Dora Bakoyannis.
In the debate that took place within the KiE Parliamentary Assembly, where objections from Serbian representatives were severe -- one that was faced with them and strongly raised the voice in favour of Kosovo -- arguing why Pristina should join the organisation was precisely DUI MP Arta Bilalli.
I highly appreciate the positive report from Mrs. Bakoyannis. I do not agree with the opinions that this membership would create new conflicts in Europe...”, Ahmeti's party deputy said among other things, thus countering Serbian representatives who flatly opposed Kosovo to becoming part of this important international organisation.
In addition, Bilall, in her address, did not forget to mention the legendary family of Kosovo Liberation Army Chief Commander (UÇK), Adem Jashar, who gave everything to free Kosovo.
If there was a price for freedom, the Jashari family from Kosovo's Prescazi would be given. 56 members of it have been killed for a single day. That Nobel award was not given to the Jashar family, but by supporting this report we will give Kosovo a seat in the large European family, to which they belong”, Bilall added.

To argue further why Kosovo should become part of the KiE, the Albanian MP in northern Macedonia has asked that “a has been created to stop the war between different states in Europe”, responding that this “does not sound good” and that such a “is inadequate and is in conflict with the key goal of KiE<5>.
She also cited the fact that all democratic countries invite Kosovo and Serbia for dialogue between them, so, in its assessment, Kosovo's membership in this organisation would reinforce and push the process forward.
Because we're going to have two equal sides in dialogue, and equality is an essential value of KiE”, Bilall argued.
This is not the only case when DUI representatives come out in support of Kosovo's independence. They have done so many times before. Ahmeti himself, but his representatives in the Government of Northern Macedonia.
Bujar Osmani, as the foreign minister of Northern Macedonia, has consistently raised voices for Kosovo, especially in those international organisations in which Kosovo is not a member.
The latest case, which Osman himself showed, has been the conversation he had with his Ukrainian counterpart, who has asked him to support Kosovo to join the KiE, though Ukraine is one of the countries that does not recognise Kosovo's independence.
Kurti is already officially involved in the northern Macedonia elections, participating in gatherings that organise the coalition of Albanian opposition parties “VLEN”, which it supports and within whose lists it has introduced candidates for MPs from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks.
Kurti will attend a gathering organised by “VLEN” in Berlin, Germany, to be held on April 19th, four days before the first round of presidential elections.
There, along with Kurt, will be other coalition leaders “VLEN” President of the Bisa Movement Bilal Kasami, their candidate for president of Northern Macedonia, Arben Taravari, Movement Leader Africa Gashi, Democratic Movement head Izet Mexhimi, and VV representative Northern Macedonia, once Kurti's adviser, Bekim Qoku.

Northern Macedonia in late April and early May will face electoral processes. Initially they will be presidential, the first round on April 24th, while the second on May 8th, along with parliamentary ones.
At the Albanian camp in the presidential elections, there will be two candidates, up from 7 totals. Bujar Osmani from the “European Front” coalition consisting of some Albanian parties and minority parties ʹ conceived by Democratic Union for Integration leader Ali Ahmeti.
On the other hand is Arben Taravari, who has the support of “VLEN” and Prime Minister Kurti ʹ even the president's candidacy for president was held after a meeting he had had with Kurti in Pristina, along with his coalition partners.
While for parliamentary elections, in addition to support, Kurti will have on “lists. VLEN” even candidates for deputies, 3 soos, top advisor Bekim Qoku.
Backing the Albanian opposition, the prime minister is listed against the largest Albanian party in northern Macedonia, Democratic Union for Integration, subsequently its chairman Ahmeti
Regarding Kurt's interventions in North Macedonia's election, Ahmeti has spoken.
In an interview for Albanian Post, he has shown the future risks of bringing Kurt into the northern Macedonia electoral process.
This Kourt intervention, according to DUI leader, paves the way for other countries such as Bulgaria and Serbia, which can organise their parties in northern Macedonia.
Kurt's involvement in the neighbouring country's presidential and parliamentary elections is not the first.
He had even earlier supported Albania's independent candidate, supported by the Albanian opposition érim Reka, acting differently from the largest Albanian party in Northern Macedonia, DUI.
Likewise, even in the 2021 parliamentary elections, Kurti had supported the Albanian opposition, respectively, the coalition between the Alliance for Albanians for Ziadin Sela and the African Gashi Alternative. /Albanianpost. com/
