Prime Minister Albin Kurti has spoken of a BBC podcast/documentary that was realised for what the Central Bank decision created with the exception of the dinar from use.
Kurti said Kosovo's financial institutions have detected this and said it was meant to fight terrorism financing.
“Dinari belongs to the last century and Milosevic, if Serbia likes the dinar we can't impose. We need to know who's sending money, who, and what's the goal of”.
Here Kurti spoke of the ammunition found after Banjska's terrorist attack and said it was all produced in Serbia.
They wanted a new war, it didn't happen, and we managed to eliminate three terrorists, but the consequences were that dozens of them managed to leave and today are in Serbia”.
Why did you let them leave when they were surrounded?
We had a long and wide perimeter. We did not want any of our police bullets to end up in the Serbian Orthodox monastery. The price we paid was that they managed to escape”.
Also, Kurti said Serbs as minorities in Kosovo have broader “rights” in Europe, including Serbian as an official language, 10 seats guaranteed in the Assembly, etc.
What I've done in three years is legitimacy and constitutionality. We had to fight terrorism financing”.
He said the Serb minority is not endangered by his government, but that they leave the Serbian government alone.
The majority of the Serb community recognise the Republic of Kosovo as their country. However, we need to prevent Belgrade from bothering them. There is no danger from my government for Kosovo Serbs. We cannot allow an individual or group to become more powerful than the state and state is for rule of law for all”.
