The Kosovo government is accusing Serbia of being distanced from the Brussels Base Agreement and the Ohrid annex for normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations.

According to them, Serbia's active lobby against Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe and Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabyq's letter to the European Union have attacked the agreement at its two central points that will prevent its implementation.

Even EU representative for dialogue Miroslav Lajcak is accused of failing to convince Serbia of signing the deal and implementing it.

Zulfaj, the prime minister's political adviser, Albin Kurti, lives, said Serbia has rejected the existence of the Brussels agreement with recent actions.

Serbia has distanced from the agreement and sent letters to the European Union, where it says the agreement is not legally binding for Serbia and is not acceptable in its entirety.

It has attacked the agreement at its two central points, which enable its implementation ... This is the problem, instead of focusing on its implementation, Serbia is opposing its existence. Therefore, signing the agreement has become necessary to ensure its legitimacy. An agreement to be considered legally binding should be accepted by two sides”, he says.

Speaking of the role of the EU's minister for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, while at the end of the mandate, Zulfaj says there have been differences due to his approach and inequity between the parties.

“Of course we've had disagreements that we've even made public about how and how to approach dialogue because the equality of the parties for us has been, and it's still a thing of nature. The topics which are laid out are about normalising relations leading to mutual recognition ... The agreement we have reached is a lost opportunity that has failed to bring Serbia in to sign.

I think in this direction and this light the work of the emissary should be seen.
