A 38-year-old was killed by the shooting at Dusseldorf-Friedrichstad early Sunday morning. Suspect has been arrested, a police spokesman confirmed.
According to police reports, the shooting has been heard in Herzeogstrasse around 2:45 am. According to initial police findings, there has been a dispute between a man and the owner at a local club. The debate then continued outside the door.
Finally, the suspect fired several shots in front of the owner. Then it turns out that the author is back in the bar. When the police arrived shortly thereafter, they were able to arrest a man standing in front of the door with a gun in his hand without resistance.
According to police, it's about a 52-year-old Kosovo resident in Germany. To prove 100 per cent who the author was, further investigations are under way, such as forensic investigations, a police spokesman says.
Any assistance came too late for the 38-year-old restaurant operator, police revival measures and rescue teams were unsuccessful.
The crime scene was surrounded.
According to newspaper information there, only one weapon was probably used, so there was no shootout.
A resident told the media on Sunday morning that he was up at night from several shots fired quickly. In front of the restaurant were still remains of a large blood pool in asphalt. Police signs could also be seen. The entrance of the bar was sealed by the police.
Public prosecutor and police did not provide any more details. Further investigations are expected. Police have set up a murder team under the direction of the public prosecutor.
