The Committee of Ministers of Council of Europe member states will hold the 13350th session on May 16th and 17th, this meeting under the Lichtenstein Presidency, is made known on the Council of Europe's page. But in the announcement there are still details of the agenda.

According to all possibilities in these dates, it is expected to be voted either for or against the invitation for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, but in advance on 16 April the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will debate.

If in the APK there is a positive vote for Kosovo then their word will be said by the ministers.

Kosovo took a step towards membership in the KiE on 27 March. Despite the vote against Serbia and two other countries, the KiE Committee for Policy and Democracy approved the Kosovo rapporteur's report, Dora Bakojannis, who recommended that the country has met the conditions for becoming fully member of the Council of Europe.

To come to this recommendation the Kosovo government asked the Kosovo Cadastral Agency to register the 24 hectares of the Decani Monastery that had been converted into a condition for membership. Also, state leaders President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjufca gave several other pledges for Kosovo to have its seat in Strasbourg.

In a letter addressed to rapporteur Dora Bakoyannis Osmani, Konjufc's Kurti had promised that independence of the institutions of justice would be respected, including its contents from ongoing criticism of the legal system and the minimation of trust in it. We remember that there have been numerous cases, when government exhibits, including Prime Minister Albin Kurti, have led direct attacks on justice institutions, especially the Constitutional Court and Prosecutorship.

Also, the three that heads the state have pledged to ensure effective implementation of the legal framework for the protection of communities and also to take tangible steps to implement the Ohrid Brussels Accords, including the establishment of the Serbian Major Commission Association, with the specification “as soon as possible”.

Whatever the case, former Greek diplomat Bakoyannis, who was at the centre of the attacks in Belgrade, has recommended that Kosovo join Kosovo as Kosovo rather than the Republic of Kosovo, because of the different positions states have in this organisation about Kosovo's status.
