KFOR Commander Major General Ozkan Ulutas met yesterday with KFOR personnel of the Turkish contingent assigned to the Operational Battalion, along the border line with Serbia.
KFOR's announcement states that “Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Deputy General ãozkan Ulutaş, met today with KFOR personnel of the Turkish contingent assigned to Operational Reserve Battalion, along the administrative border line”.
“Units of the Operational Reserve Battalion conduct regular mounted and dismantled patrols in the area to ensure freedom of movement and a safe and secure environment for all local communities”, KFOR's announcement posted on APUFacebook.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on the UN Security Council Resolution of 1999, to provide a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially.
KFOR is the third security reacter, behind the Kosovo Police and the EU's mission to rule of Law (EULEX), with which we work in close co-ordination, respectively.
