The deputy of the North Macedonian Parliamentary Assembly, Arta Bilalli-Zeneli, in the debate of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, where the report on Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe was reviewed, has mentioned to Serbia the killing of 56 members of the Jashar family within a day, saying that from the Assembly they can send a signal to that family and all citizens of Kosovo.

MP Bilalli-Zeneli has said I disagree with the thoughts that this membership will create new conflicts in Europe.

Supporting Kosovo's application for membership in KiE gives signal that they will join the European family

Dear colleagues have been founded to prevent wars among peoples in Europe, we all agree that yes, so comments that this membership will provoke further conflicts in Europe, does not sound good and is not appropriate, and is contrary to the Council of Europe's main goal. All democratic states and organisations invite for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, in my opinion, this membership will reinforce, will push forward this dialogue because we will have two equal sides in dialogue and equality is an essential value of the Council of Europe. In 1999, a former French minister has said that if it were a nobel price for freedom, then the Yashari family in Prekaz would be given, because it is a family where 56 family members were killed within a single day. The Jashar family has not received the Nobel Prize, but by supporting this report and this application for membership, we will give them a signal that they will have a chair and join the large European family they belong to”, she said.
