IRI poll: 83% of Kosovars see Serbia as main threat

In three Western Balkan countries, Serbia is considered the biggest threat, according to the recent multinational research of the International Republic Institute (IRI) in Western Balkan countries.
In Kosovo, citizens have responded by an absolute 83 percent that Serbia is viewed as the main threat -- in Albania with 36 percent; in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 27 percent of citizens.
Meanwhile, the state considered a threat to Kosovo, Albania and BiH as the main threat sees the United States with 36 per cent of citizens, while in Montenegro that figure goes to 19 per cent, Klakosova reports.
But among the countries Serbia's citizens see as a threat to their country is Kosovo. 10 percent of respondents have given that answer, listing our country as the third - largest threat to them. And second with 18 percent, Serbs see Albania as the biggest threat.
Albania, in turn, behind Serbia (36%), sees Russia (32%) and Greece (9%).
In Montenegro, citizens are divided on the question of who is the biggest threat to their country: 19 per cent of respondents have said the US, while 17 per cent consider Russia: while 10 per cent think Serbia is the main threat to Montenegro.
For 23 percent of Macedonians, Bulgaria is the main threat to their country, followed by Russia by 12 percent and Kosovo by 10 percent.
