US President Joe Biden has indicated he will gather G7 leaders Sunday “to co-ordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran's cheeky attack of”.
He adds that his team will remain in close contact with Israel's leaders.
Biden says that while the US has not seen attacks on its facilities, it “remains alert to all threats”.
“We will not hesitate to take all necessary actions to protect our people,” says Beden.
States making up G7
G7 consists of the United States, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan. Representatives from the European Union also attend.
When was the G7 formed?
The G7 was founded after the OPEC oil embargo in 1973 as a forum for richer countries to discuss crises affecting the world economy. Its countries have an annual combined GDP of $40 trillion, or slightly less than half of the global economy.
