Iran says its attack on Israel is a response to Israel's attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, and said “the issue could be considered finished”.
Iran's permanent mission to the United Nations in New York said that Sunday's attack was a response to the Israeli “aggression against our diplomatic facilities in Damascus”.
Israel struck an Iranian building in the Syrian capital of Damascus earlier this month. A military spokesman had said that Israel believed that the Iranian building hit in the attack was a “military building”.
The Iranian mission said the “issue was considered finished”.
