Hoxhaj at Conference for NATO in Tirana: Kosovo deserves to receive NATO membership invitation

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has attended as the panelist at the 15th anniversary of Albania's NATO membership, along with politicians, military, MPs and diplomats.

Hoxhaj, at the Conference in attendance, from which there were statesmen of NATO, said Kosovo deserves to receive the invitation for NATO membership.

But, Hoxhaj also spoke of security in the Balkans, these 15 years since Albania's NATO membership.

After Kosovo independence in 2008, Albania's membership in NATO in 2009 is the second event marking the establishment of Albanians in the Balkans as a regional factor, and today Albania has reached 15 years as part of this most important military and political alliance in the world! It was a pleasure today to be a panelist at Albania's 15th anniversary of NATO membership, along with politicians, military, MPs and diplomats, where we shared our thoughts about security threats in the Balkans and Kosovo's future in Atlantic institutions! ”, Hoxhaj said at the Conference.

He also said tensions in the region are not due to the war in Ukraine, but because of the non-coherence of the conflicts as a result of Kosovo's non-recognition by Serbia and its UN membership, which Russia, according to him, has used this situation to diplomaticly combat the West and Kosovo globally!
