Hoti: Kurti government for dictatorship, report UN concerned about Kosovo

The Democratic League of Kosovo MP and former Prime Minister, Avdullah Hoti, has reacted after publishing the American State Department's report on Kosovo in 2023.

Hoti has said the report is disturbing for the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

The former prime minister has further added that the report highlights the presence of serious government corruption, restrictions on freedom of expression and the media, including violence and threats against journalists.

According to Hoti, such a thing has been expected, following ties with Ambassador Martin Berishaj, state reserves and corrupt relatives at KEK.

On the other hand, Hoti has said the report highlights a bitter truth and shows that neither the government nor the president of the state had any reflection.

In the end, Hoti says Kurti Government tends to impose dictatorial system, to control the government, the trial, the assembly, the presidency and the media.

The US State Department report is disturbing for the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

The report stresses, the presence of serious government corruption, problems with judicial independence and serious restrictions on freedom of expression and media freedom, including violence or violent threats against journalists.

This has been expected after the ties, like Ambassador Berisha's, with state reserves, corrupt relatives in KEK and now with water ambalnizers. Instead of seeking justice, instigators publicly defend themselves against suspected persons.

The attack on the Constitutional Court, the chief state prosecutor, and blackmailing threats against journalists and the media have made the rate.

Report IT IS a bitter truth that we have mentioned several times. There has been no reflection from the government, and most importantly from the president of the state, which has constitutional mandate to protect independent institutions.

This government tends to impose a dictatorial system so that the prime minister can control everything -- the government, the trial, the assembly, the presidency and the media.
