Prestiary “DailyMail” writes that 53-year-old Albanian is being held in miserable conditions and that he is in serious health. British media call Durak's arrest a mistake.

He was arrested while traveling from Great Britain to Kosovo, on April 16th, around 22:00 p.m., he had stopped at the border checkpoint in Horgosch, connecting Serbia and Hungary.

The 53-year-old was sent to the Supreme Court for War Crimes in Belgrade and charged with membership in the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK).

His family says this is impossible because he was in Britain applying for asylum in 1998 and did not leave there until 2004.

“A day after Kosovo took a step towards membership of the Council of Europe, Serbia banned hundreds of Albanians at the crossing of the Serbian border. One of those victims is my father, Sadik Duraku, a British citizen who lived in Brighton.

Until the others were released, my father remained in custody. He is being held falsely for being a member The KLA in 1999, their claims say it committed war crimes during 1999. The asylum process meant that we could not leave Great Britain until 2004.

At this critical moment, our family requires tangible evidence to refute baseless accusations and we need support from an observer in Serbia to ensure fair procedures and security. Therefore, recording our asylum requirements and our position in the United Kingdom from 1998 to 1999.

The British Interior Office should have this information, and together with the British Embassy it should be available to organize an observer. What we also need is Britain's pressure to free my father”,- said the reaction of Sadik's daughter, Susan.

She has stressed that her father is having heart problems.
