US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeff Hovenier has said that recent cases of murder, as well as those of domestic violence, underscore the urgent need for more work to prevent violence against women and girls.
“Today, we stand with the people of Kosovo on the National Day of Montenegro, honoring and remembering victims of childicide and all Kosovo women who are victims of domestic violence. The recent murders and acts of domestic violence underline the urgent need to do more to address and prevent all forms of violence against women and girls. We should try to build societies where each individual can live without fear and without being hurt”, he wrote Havener.
Other ambassadors in Kosovo reacted after the recent killings of women in the country and lowered flags to half-point on Black Day to honour the victims. /Express/
