In the second year of our government, we established a separate Fund for Non-US communities, at the value of 3m euros. Through it, we financed 259 grants for farmers, young entrepreneurs, and NGOs aimed at promoting employment in these communities. A year ago we supported 123 projects for small and entrepreneurial businesses from among all communities. This year, however, we launched the special employment measure for 2,000 job seekers living in the municipalities of Leposaviqi, Zubin Potok, Zvecan and North Mitrovica. There we have already opened Offices of Employment and Offices of the Business Recording Agency. In the latter, more than 50 new businesses have recently been registered. ”
He has said that non-US communities make up 17 per cent of the Ministry of Economy subsidies for efficient equipment.
Non-communities make up 17% of the Ministry of Economy subsidies for efficient equipment, within energy efficiency measures. They also make up 9% of the paid interns through the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers programme “Kosovo Generation Unlimited”, a percentage of this representative in relation to the population's total. ”
Kurti has written that the Ministry of Communities and Kthim has implemented 415 different projects through which 543 new jobs have been provided.
“Under the Stabilisation and Community Programme, in co-operation with the European Union, the Ministry for Communities and Kthim has implemented 415 different projects through which 543 new jobs have been provided, out of them 328 full-time, the rest part-time. In co-operation with the European Union, 116 homes have also been built or renovated to ensure sustainable return for non-communities. And through the Ministry of Management of Local Power, we have allocated another 3m euros for construction and renovation of homes, along with 4 million more during the 192021-2024s for infrastructure projects, which especially benefit members of non-communal communities in our country. ”
Kurti has also mentioned the establishment of the Inter-institution for Promoting Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian Employment Group.
He added that the employment agency's data for 2023 shows that the number of job seekers from among these working communities has increased by 1/3 compared to 2022.
We founded the Inter-institution Group for the Employment of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians. The employment agency's data next year shows that the number of job seekers from among these working communities has increased by 1/3 compared to the previous year. ”
Prime Minister Kurti has said that in the academic year 2023/2024, 55 students from the ethnic communities -- the Egyptian Ashkali, of them 35 girls and 20 boys -- are supporting scholarships.
For Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian children's teaching centers, we have allocated nearly half a million euros in three years of governance. Because to have as many successful students of these communities in universities, investment in them, and support for them must be early. To be successful professionals tomorrow, support must continue during studies. So in the 2022/2023 academic year, we first shared 26 scholarships worth 1,000 euros for university students from Roma, Ashkali, Egyptian. And in the academic year 2023/2024, we're supporting 55 students from these communities with scholarships, of them 35 girls and 20 boys. While under the “Communate project for youth”, currently in the second phase of implementation, we have supported 3,000 newcomers from non-communal communities and NGOs to benefit soft skills and project management. ”
Kurti has said that from February of last year, the process of verifying diplomas of the University of North Mitrovica has resumed.
“From February of last year, we have resumed the process of verifying diplomas of the University of North Mitrovica, thus offering more new employment opportunities to hold these diplomas. We have also established legal grounds for starting to verify high school diplomas teaching in Serbian. ”
He has also mentioned broadcasting of government meetings in the Serbian language.
“From last year we have also started for the first time with the direct broadcast of government meetings in the Serbian language, in addition to the law on use of languages in the media and reports by the Prime Minister's Office. At the end of last year, we adopted the Strategy for Protection and Promoting the Rights of Communities and Members, the document that was drafted and adopted for the first time and that, among other things, envisions the more sustainable integration and proportional representation in the institutional life of non-communal communities. The Republic is of all citizens. Our government is for all citizens. ”
